Parking Notice!
New Towing Contractor
You may have noticed that towing signs have been installed in our community, in accordance with our newly executed towing contract. Residents are urged to abide by all parking rules and regulations in order to avoid any towing enforcement, which would be done at the vehicle owner’s risk and expense. Note that any illegal parking on the street, including parking in front of garages and parking pads, is subject to towing.
These parking regulations exist largely to keep our residents safe, to allow emergency service vehicles to travel quickly and safely through our streets, and also to enable residents and guests to stay safe while driving, walking, or playing in the community. Illegal parking also inconveniences your neighbors when it is more difficult to navigate through the community and to pull in and out of garages, driveways, and spaces on our narrow streets.
We remind you that per the Summerfield Condominium By-Laws, “Unit owners, their tenants, residents, and visitors shall park their vehicles in the garages and driveways before being entitled to park their vehicles upon the General Common Elements.” Please comply with this rule, to be considerate of your neighbors, to keep the community as safe as possible, and to avoid being towed.
Parking Reminders:
- Please do not park any vehicles in any fire lane within the community. This is illegal and causes an obstruction for emergency rescue vehicles and snowplows. Vehicles parked in fire lanes are subject to being ticketed by the Police and/or Fire Department and/or towed at the vehicle owner’s expense!
- Please do not park on the pad outside of your garage door. This hinders other cars from exiting their garages and causes an obstruction for the snowplow to clear the streets. Vehicles that cause such obstructions are subject to being towed at the vehicle owner’s expense.
- Please do NOT shovel snow from your driveway or vehicle onto the streets after they have been cleared by the snowplow! Any resident who is observed doing this will be charged for the cost to have the snowplow come back to the property and clear the snow.
- Please do NOT park any vehicles on any portion of the grass areas. We have observed residents parking vehicles in this fashion which is illegal and unsightly and causes damage to the common are grass and landscape. Vehicles parked illegally in this fashion are subject to being ticketed and/or towed at the vehicle owner’s expense.
- Towing will be enforced on illegally parked vehicles.
